It is also important to keep your puppy stress-free to speed up the healing process by continuing with obedience training so that your dog receives mental stimulation and is distracted away from the itching and wrapping.

One of the most common ear-cropping Doberman issues is due to teething. If after a few months, your dog's ears still fall after you unwrap them, there is a good chance that your dog is teething. The stress will cause your dog's ears to fall down if the pain is bad enough.

Always keep your dog's ears wrapped until you are 100 percent sure that they will stay up on their own. Keep in mind that your dog controls his ears standing up. When your dog is relaxed, they will likely fall a bit however, the ears should not fold over and display a crease.
